Detailed Plan

What is Bornstone DAO?

Bornstone DAO’s mission is to empower marginalized communities by offering the youth travel and identity documents empowered by the Cardano blockchain. It serves as a means for

Why a DAO

A DAO provides security, adaptability, and scalability due to its decentralized nature. Driven by the intrinsic motivation of its tenets, this DAO can easily grow to be one of the largest with its token being one of the most valuable DAO tokens. Not only would the child’s travel document be of the best in the world due to the freedom it grants but the token that governs it will be extremely valuable as well. With its own people, tokens, & identity documents Bornstone DAO will essentially be a sovereign nation-state.

How will it work

Pods within the community are to serve as witnesses to record the birth of a newborn. The pods then vote on the proposal submitted by the parents that this child is indeed born on this day at this time. Their vote will be cast with the Bornstone token. With each successful proposal, a trust fund from the DAOs treasury can be stored away for the child until maturity. The record of live birth will capture all the data such as name, location, country, witness, etc. With the child’s proof of humanity being recorded on the blockchain from birth we now have the ability to create travel documents on the blockchain. A part of the research team’s goal is to figure out the best way to do that.

Technology

The product will be a progressive web app sp that it’s more accessible and available in multiple languages. The scope, for now, is a proposal user flow for creating a Record, A flow for witnesses to sign with their wallet, and a flow to amend a proposal on-chain.
