Solution

Decentralized ecosystem to maximize returns and give full transparency to all the parties allowing a fair and sustainable supply chain.

[IMPACT]

Fully Integrated Ecosystem: End to End Supply Chain Solution, connecting two main stakeholders & giving access to different solutions to meet their needs:

  1. Leverage technology by creating a digital, end to end, fully integrated platform for produce.

  2. Develop lean commercial/logistics solutions in the main markets to vertically integrate and manage the digital platform.

  3. Social and sustainability focus compulsory for participants of the ecosystem.

  4. Economics: low margin cost chain, focus on maximizing value to the growers and become the best alternative for the final customer.

The solution’s ultimate goal is to make the produce business sustainable through a disruptive digital ecosystem.

Our solution will help to connect growers with final consumers and with main retailers, wholesalers and the HORECA channels generating a B2B and B2C communication.

The solution will generate a full desintermediation of the supply chain maximizing returns for growers as well as giving full transparency, differentiating the product and creating a strong engagement with the consumer.

The ecosystem will have two main parts that align perfectly with the KPIs of the challenge.

The first one will be a B2B solution allowing growers, pack houses, exporters, importers and retailers fully transparent data throughout the supply chain, giving them tools to manage and analyze the data that correspond to every party in a very simple way.

The second will be the B2C part allowing the final customer to know the whole history in a reliable way containing all the information about the product.

How will the outcomes of your project be communicated or marketed once completed?

When the MVP of the product is ready it will be tested in a group of companies with many years in the business, allowing us to retrieve real world information and to be able to measure the added value with actual feedback from the main stakeholders.

It is important to point out that these companies are already committed to the project and agreed to use our product.

Our main challenge is to generate digital disruption and create a fully transparent, incorruptible ecosystem in an old fashioned and low tech industry as agriculture.

Our ties in the industry allows us to already have access to a select group of companies that have agreed to use the ecosystem and migrate to a more technological environment. These first adopters will show the whole industry the benefits of the migration from having an easy way to manage the data to setting them apart from the competitors.

[FEASIBILITY]

Our main milestones are:

Team and product building: during the first three quarters of 2022 we will continue strengthening the team to be prepared for the trial & scaling phases.

MVP: Last quarter of 2022. During 2022 we will give insight about the progress to the field teams to be able to apply the first viable product as soon as it is ready. The MVP will be tested in an already selected group of companies to have a first experience before entering a full testing phase.

Trial Phase: First two quarters of 2023. We will run trials with our growers partners in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Mexico. This will allow us to find and fix flaws on the process workflow therefore having a tested and trustworthy product ready for the market.

B2B & B2C marketing: Based on success rate on the trial phase, it is expected to start marketing the ecosystem as from the third quarter of 2023.

Scaling Phase: Starting from the third quarter of 2023 we will continue developing the product and proactively offering solutions.

In parallel to the previous milestones we will be looking at adding services such as fintech, technical and other important solutions to growers that otherwise they wouldn’t have access to.

Our budget of 2022-2023 (from 2th quarter to 2th quarter) consists of a progressive growth of the start-up taking into account the hiring of many people during the year.

[AUDITABILITY]

The project will be divided into stages, where each one will have different achievements with their time margins. In this way you can have a concise and clear way to see how the progress is going. And if it is necessary to be able to take measures before starting another stage.

With this working method, it will be possible to work in parallel in different parts of the ecosystem and fix it as necessary through pilots in different companies that are already predefined.

From a business point of view we will measure the volume of products that will be traced through our platform.

work in progress

This is an entirely new proposal, we have never participated previously.
