We believe it is time to evolve the way projects are managed. According to the PMI Pulse of the Profession: “Organizations wasted almost 12 percent of their investment in project spend last year due to poor performance—a number that’s barely budged over the past five years”. This equates to billions and billions of dollars every year that are wasted globally. We propose that a Project Management System (PMS) that leverages the Cardano blockchain will help move success rates in the right direction.

Our solution is unique and will bring token-based economics to Project Management by integrating existing Project Management Systems with the Cardano ecosystem. We’ll first integrate with Atlassian JIRA ( the most popular system) before adding additional integrations. The PoC will be used as a starting point to build out our MVP and we estimate 6 months of development effort ( One FT developer and 1 part-time designer) are required to get to launch. At the end of the 6 months, we will have a production-ready application that integrates with Cardano and JIRA. The system will allow team members to be assigned tasks and get rewarded with a token (KUDO) when the tasks are resolved.

In the spirit of Cardano, we’ve taken a research-driven approach. We have worked with academic institutions to publish research before completing a working PoC.

Our solution will be targeted toward project teams and individual members as well as organizations and Project Managers.

Our proposed solution will help accelerate Cardano adoption by bridging the gap between traditional systems and the evolving web 3 ecosystems.

65,000 companies around the world rely on Jira Software alone and PMI estimates that there are 16.5 million project managers in the world. The potential to expand the reach of Cardano is huge.

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

• Key Risk: The PoC was intended to demonstrate the viability of integrating a project management system with the Cardano blockchain system. Several components would need to be improved to support many users and to work with ‘real-world’ accounts

• Mitigation: A list of technical considerations is being gathered and will be addressed in a design document.

• Kry Risk: Catalyst funding could run out before the project is ready to launch.

• Mitigation: We will manage the project with a degree of flexibility in the scope to allow us to meet the time/budget constraints. To mitigate the risk we will identify an MVP early that can be released.

We do not anticipate seeking repeat funding through Catalyst. Once the project is launched, the team will be funded through seed funding or through token allocation.

We will run monthly live demos that will be available on Youtube to give updates on progress
