We want journalists, media and influencers to care about our projects that are build on Cardano. They often don’t have time to do the research. The world of blockchain is very vast and complex. Let’s make it easier for them. Let’s offer them a prepared, well-filmed interviews and coverage of the main community events from Cardano Summit Dubai 2023.

[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

The challenge question is:

> Can we build a community-owned Open-Source Ecosystem that’s commercially viable to drive growth, increase opportunities, and increase project visibility for the whole Cardano Community?

Having a professional interviews from Cardano Summit increases the project's visibility, it increases opportunities and drives growth at the same time.

This solution offers especially time and money savings for influencers and media. We’d save them ton of time, money and our projects still get a great exposure.

[IMPACT] How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

I intend to measure the process of the project. It will be divided into 4 milestones:

pre-production
production
post-production
distribution / marketing

Finishing each phase of the project is considered a success.

Please note that it’s not realistic to provide any numbers regarding the distribution here. We have to accept that we live in a world where all the coverage, articles etc are being paid for. It costs considerable amount of money to have an article or video on Cointelegraph or other platforms offering news. It goes to thousands of dollars per article.

That’s why I’m proposing this as an alternative way where we simplify the process for media and influencers, we offer them ready-made interview hoping it cuts down the distribution rates. In best case scenario they’d publish our content free of charge.

The miniseries of the interviews will be shared on our website offering download option for anyone interested.
It’ll be part of our monthly newsletter at Adafilms.
We plan to release this also on CardanoSpot and SustainableADA.
We plan to reach out to the influencers and to the platforms offering blockchain news.
The interviews will be offered to media using a professional paid platform - this is still in negotiation, so I don't want to make false promises.

I've been working as a professional filmmaker for over 16 years. My work has been shown in television and cinema. Along the way my projects received several awards.

I have successfully delivered two proposals in F8 Film and media challenge:

This project received Best Film Award at Nucast Film Festival and was selected to be part of a huge Conference / Festival in Rwanda July 17-20. This event has 6000 attendees and over 100 000 viewers participating online.

[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

It's a 4 months project = 4 milestones

Month 1: Pre-production - October 2023

Selecting a projects ready for an interview, plan a meeting at the Summit, contacting the team, scheduling filming, setting up a crew

Month 2: Production - November 2023

3 days of filming based on the nature and complexity of the project / community event

Month 3: Postproduction - November / December 2023

editing based on the number of interviews made
sound postproduction, recording voiceover if necessary, final sound mix
color grading, adding simple visual effects if needed
final mastering / subtitling

Month 4: Marketing Distribution - December 2023 / January 2024

Revealing the main video online, sharing across our reachable channels
Running promotions on Youtube and Twitter for better reach and engagement
Contacting online media platforms and TV broadcasters offering them this new content for use

[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.

We want to do 3 videos, up to 5 minutes each. Each video has to complete these 4 steps = milestones.

Month 1: Pre-production

Month 2: Production

Month 3: Postproduction

Month 4: Marketing / Distribution

One milestone per month based on the type of work.

The activities are described in the previous section.

We intend to produce 3 videos.

Posters and articles are created to support each video.
The interviews will be offered to media using a professional paid platform - this is still in negotiation, so I don't want to make false promises. But some kind of paid service will be used for sure.

[RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] Please provide a detailed budget breakdown of the proposed work and resources.

Month 1: Pre-production - October 2023

Selecting the projects ready for an interview, planning a meeting at the Summit, contacting the team, scheduling filming.

90 hours of work. 1hr per $20 = $1800.

Month 2: Production - November 2023

3 days of filming at the Cardano Summit Dubai - 3 members crew.

Flight tickets and 4 days accommodation: cca $1200 per person = $3600

Filming this way requires a cameraman, sound operator and director on set.

We will use two cameras for 3 days.

The whole crew with all the equipment costs $2000 per filming day, so it's $6000 for 3 days.

Month 3: Postproduction - November / December 2023

5 days of editing = $400 * 5 = $2000
3 days of sound postproduction, recording VoiceOver in the studio if necessary, final sound mix = $500 * 3 = $1500
3 days of color grading, adding simple visual effects if needed = $350 * 3 = $1050
2 days of final mastering + subtitling - $300 * 2 = $600

Month 4: - Marketing & distribution - December 2023 / January 2024

Revealing the main video online, sharing across our reachable channels - $300
Running social media promotions on Youtube and Twitter for outreach and engagement-$650
Promo posters and covers made by graphic designer ($150 per poster = 3x$150 = $450)
Contacting online media platforms and TV broadcasters offering them this new content for use / we'll use paid service here ($600)

One-time reward for a producer: $2000

Overall: $20550

[RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

Regarding the budget:

We mostly follow European standards, but compared to these we work for less. We are filming in a small crew of only 3 people, thus saving a lot of money.

These formats are usually produced by the teams of 5-7 people.

Of course these are calculated for an average movie, so in our case it's obviously less.

But nevertheless film and TV work in its core requires still the same.

As you can see we are offering a significant price reduction opposed to the standards.

Final words:

Good and proper media coverage is the key to success of any project. Cardano in general is no different. At the same time if we don’t step up ourselves, nobody will do that for us.

I strongly believe this proposal can bring a lot of good value and positive energy for Cardano ecosystem.
