Detailed Plan

What we believe:

At Fairway, we want to build inclusive technology that provides fair and equal opportunity for anyone to participate in the job market. We believe that the future of the identity management, wether it is related to being a student, job seeker, or buying a property, should happen in a decentralized and free blockchain. We want to create a solution for job seekers that helps them to navigate the job market and leverage their personal job market information in a decentralized system.

For the current recruitment processes, not every aspect can yet be done through a decentralized system. We believe there is still place for private businesses such as ours, that provide digital services to other businesses. It is the role of our kind of businesses to bring those businesses to decentralized technologies through profit-driven customer acquisition and providing services that leverage decentralization and by doing so, end up being more effective and profitable than the legacy systems.

Lot of our work is directed by creating impact and we are improving at least 3 of the UNs SDGs which are 1. No poverty, 8. Decent work and economic growth and 10. Reduced inequalities.

We believe that the businesses that integrate these technologies and allow their users to leverage their own user data in other use cases and areas of their life will be the most successful in the future of business.

- If you have student credentials given by your university, why shouldn't you be able to use them in a job seeking and matchmaking platform?

- If you have used DID in the payment of your loans, why shouldn't the credit that you built be used leveraged in proving your credibility to the future employer?

- If you have signed a contract using Fairway technology why shouldn't you use that contract to get a loan for your future apartment?

At Fairway, we build things to see a future where we want to live in. One where the market decides the value of the information that you yourself decide to input to it. Fairway Co-founders have been contributing Cardano community members for over three years and what we saw IOHK building in Africa was part of the inspiration for our company.

Our Plan and Goals for this proposal:

Conducting a market viability study in the cities of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro for digital recruitment process in the fields of banking, finance and insurance. The study helps to pinpoint the first focus groups and locations in the Brazilian market for our digital recruitment solution that will utilise Atala PRISM.

  • Fairway conducts a market study on the viability of implementing Fairway technology to the employment market in Rio de Janeiro and find out what kind of willingness there is for DID. The study is done together with our local partner Matti and his team.

  • Fairway conducts a market study on the viability of implementing Fairway technology to the employment market in Sao Paulo and find out what kind of willingness there is for DID. The study is done together with our local partner Matti and his team.

  • Studying the potential job seeker user base and user acquisition process and channels in both of the cities. We utilize our local partners as well as social media channels and local recruitment channels to study the job seeker market and their interest in digital recruitment solution operating on Atala PRISM.

  • Fairway begins discussions with local potential business customers and forms a market entry strategy.

  • Fairway team arrives to locally selected first market which is one of the two cities. Fairway team proceeds to start negotiations with local potential customers.

  • Fairway establishes the legal capabilities and operation in the local market based on market entry strategy.

What will Fairway deliver to the Brazilian market through this study:

  • We will implement the same systems as we are implementing in Ethiopia. Through our system the job seekers get a fair opportunity to access the recruitment market leveraging their own credentials and data that is managed on Atala PRISM DID
  • Our users and customers will get an access to Cardano ecosystem through the Atala PRISM

How will this benefit the Cardano Ecosystem:

Fairway technology utilises Atala PRSIM on Cardano for identity management. On full scale our service could bring millions of job seekers in Brazil to Cardano Ecosystem providing them DID on Atala PRISM. This would start our LATAM expansion where the same technologies will be used elsewhere as well. The three main benefits for the Cardano Ecosystem are the following:

1. Job seekers becoming users managing their identity on the Cardano Blockhain: through the creation of a user in Fairway platform the job seekers will access Cardano-based identity which will make them more aware of Cardano.

2. The business customers of Fairway will sign documents and issue credits on Cardano Blockchain. Businesses will access Cardano through a clear bridge which will bring them closer to the ecosystem.

3. The government of Brazil or the city governments of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo could be inspired by business leveraging these technologies.

Budget:

  • Market study Rio de Janeiro 3000 usd

  • Market study Sao Paulo 3000 usd

  • User viability study Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo 4000 usd

  • Customer acquisition assessment 8000 usd

  • Business dev trip of Fairway 6000 usd

  • Establishment of a local team and operating capabilities 6000 usd

Total budget 30 000$

Definition of success:

  • 3-month goal - First studies conducted and formed an understanding of the needs in the market.

  • 6-month goal - Market entry strategy ready for Brazilian deployment.

  • 12-month goal - Have the employment data of Fairway job seekers in Atala PRISM DID of the Brazilian market
