Move-to-Plant: An new concept in the blockchain world!
For many people, the idea of combining running to improve health and planting trees to protect the environment into one seems irrelevant and difficult to implement, even in theory. On the other hand, there have been organized campaigns/events such as sports activities to raise awareness or directly contribute to protecting the environment. However, most of these campaigns/events lack transparency, as users cannot know how much they contribute to the campaign.
It forced us to think of a technical solution combining the two statements above while providing transparency.
That solution is HealthFI - a complete (and already developed) health care application that personalizes exercise and nutrition for users, regardless of gender or age. It helps us realize "Move to plant," which is quite a new concept in the blockchain world (in our opinion), by providing a platform to implement this proposal.
Thanks to the support of HealthFI, users can move anywhere - anytime, letting them know how much they contribute to the campaign. They can also invite their friends, build a community, install HealthFI and participate in physical activities together.
You move, we plant
The concept of the "Turn your steps into Healthy Earth" campaign will be as follows: One or more users will contribute by walking/jogging every day to achieve a cumulative number of distances (unit: km), which will get a tree planted in return.
It typically takes an average person of average height and weight about 1,400 steps to walk a kilometer at a moderate pace (*According to research published in the ACSM Journal of Health & Fitness). Thus, Cardano users only need to maintain a habit of moving about 5000 steps daily and achieve the goal of 5 times/week (i.e., accumulating 17.85 km of travel distance in a week) to plant a tree.
The whole process will be managed and monitored by HealthFI. Specifically, users' total kilometers (or steps) moved will be converted into Gold (HealthFI's in-app currency). This Gold will be then added to a 'fund' called "The Trees Bank." Once the number of Gold has reached the target, we will plant a tree in return.
So it can be summed up in four steps below:
Step 1: Users gain accumulated distance by walking/jogging.
Step 2: It will be converted into Gold (HealthFI's in-app currency)
Step 3: Gold will be used to "buy" a tree in the "Tree Bank."
Step 4: Once the number of Gold has reached the target in the "Tree Bank," 5000 trees will be planted (by us)
In our opinion, this is a simple yet compelling concept. In the future, users (especially those who don't have time to exercise) can still contribute using HealthFi tokens to buy trees in Tree Bank.
Manage planted trees easily with HealthFi
We will undertake the planting and care after planting in the specific area (Ta Xua, Bac Yen, Son La province). After the pine tree reaches the end of its life cycle (about 12 years), we will hand over all these trees to local people for management and care.
Along with that, a QR code will be given to each tree planted. When scanned, the QR code will display information such as the tree planted date, the list of people who contributed, and the coordinates of the tree planted in the specified area.
Also, to scan this QR code, we plan to apply (or integrate) a third-party solution like Atala SCAN (also powered by Cardano) or another partner, depending on our technical requirements. All the above information, of course, can easily be managed with the HealthFI app.
Use NFTs to protect the environment.
Each tree grew will also be digitized in the form of NFT, minted on Cardano's blockchain network.
NFTs can also be considered "Green Certificates." A Green Certificate helps improve the reputation and business efficiency of businesses in many different industries such as real estate, manufacturing, and forestry. So, it will also be our next phase's premise, opening opportunities for us to cooperate with large enterprises and corporations in Vietnam by allowing them to earn Green Certificates.
Make the Cardano community stronger.
The "Turn your step into Healthy Earth" campaign will receive media support and advice from Mr. Vu Quang Huy - one of Vietnam's most famous sports commentators in the 2000s. (https://vi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quang_Huy_(nh%C3%A0_b%C3%A1o. Mr. Quang Huy is also the co-founder and honorary chairman of Quang Huy Sports company - the official partner of HealthFi.
Beside, with our good relationships with many of Vietnam's press and media agencies, we will promote Cardano in general and Project Catalyst in particular with an extensive PR/marketing campaign.
Finally, we will continue working with businesses, organizations, and local governments to raise funds to plant and tokenize trees. Our goal is to plan and plant 50,000 more trees within the next five years.

Healthy People, Healthy Earth
"Turn your steps into Healthy Earth" will be a campaign with a dual goal: Cardano users can improve their health by jogging/walking/cycling. Meanwhile, thousands of trees are planted in return.
Of course, users of the Cardano community are also more motivated to exercise daily when complete with a challenge/mission.
We also hope this campaign will help raise awareness about environmental protection, which is increasingly urgent and encourage the Cardano community to switch to using more environmentally friendly transportation.
Building goodwill for the Cardano community
The application of blockchain technology in effective management and transparency of the "Turn your steps into Healthy Earth" campaign will help change the public's prejudices about blockchain, which has been the subject of massive criticism in recent years about the blockchain's environmental impact.
Such activities like mining, in particular, are deemed unnecessary by critics, who say the large electricity requirements damage the environment. However, newer blockchains like Cardano run on a proof-of-stake concept that relies on network "stakers" who lock up their tokens on public nodes to maintain the blockchain. This is said to be more environmentally friendly than mining. Planting trees is a step in an environmentally friendly direction, helping to spread the spirit and value of Cardano, which is always regarded as the 'Green Cryptocurrency' in the crypto world.
Additionally, the public in Vietnam will have a good view of the contributions and role of blockchain technology and Cardano in combating climate change. Through this event, more users will know about Project Catalyst and Cardano.
[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?
Objective risks such as natural disasters or improper care make the number of trees that can grow after planting not reach the target.
Similarly, risks from epidemics (such as the COVID-19 pandemic) can cause fitness and sports activities in general and running competitions, in particular, to be postponed.

This proposal is only one part of our big picture: the proposal in the Dapp category (you can check it out here: <https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/417168>). Therefore, we will only provide the necessary budget allocation for Phase 1. Here is the overall roadmap:
TIMELINE
-September 2022: Start marketing activities to communicate the app and healthy living habits to the community, and prepare to push all social channels for the MOVE-TO-PLANT campaign.
-October 2022: Maximize communication activities on all available channels, combined with PR action on the presses to reach the earliest 5,000 runner milestone (minimum condition for planting 5,000 trees after one month of deployment). Continuously update the progress of planting trees on social channels and increase the motivation to maximize the total numbers.
-November 2022: Continue communicating after the campaign and the project's success, creating a premise for other movements to launch smoothly. Navigate and convert about 50% of runners to monthly active users so they can contribute more through in-app challenges.
-December 2022: Continue to communicate with available materials. Organize more challenges (the number depends on the effectiveness of the first campaign). Scale the project and cooperate with many other partners to promote and organize an offline running tournament in 2023.
[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed budget breakdown.
HealthFi already developed version 1.1 with our budget. So in this proposal, we only suggest a budget for two months of running the campaign to plant about 5,000 trees. UHY Vietnam (one of Vietnam's top 10 most prestigious auditing firms) will audit all these expenses. If the proposal is approved, the campaign will launch in Q3 2022.
We hope this proposal will help develop a community that loves running in general and blockchain in particular, spreading the spirit of running for the environment to everyone. We also plan activities that combine running, charity, and blockchain applications for the subsequent phases.
We will list the detailed budget for this period in the cost sheet. Here is the simple budget breakdown for the essential cost:

Our team is experienced in app development as well as building the healthcare community. The team includes:
Mr. Manh Le
Mr.Manh Le has more than ten years of experience working in Sales (KA, B2B) & Trade Marketing in the FMCG industry at top Global Companies in Vietnam, such as Suntory Pepsico, Metro Cash, and Carry, and Vifon. Since 2020, Mr.Manh Le has been the founder of We Vietnam - a company with a lot of experience organizing running races for amateurs and professionals, with the ambition to build a community that helps participants challenge themselves online to reach personal growth goals.
Mr. Manh Le will play the project manager, performing the coordination and management work in this project.
Mr. Viet Phan:
Having 8+ years of experience in communication, journalism, and marketing in technology and e-commerce. In the blockchain field, Mr. Viet Phan has experience in successfully developing and raising capital for a true-metaverse project called NextVerse. In the project "HealthFi - Turn Your Running Steps into Green Earth," Mr. Viet Phan will be in charge of public relations and community management for this project, including meeting and discussing further with potential investors from Vietnam.
Mrs. Mai Nguyen:
With eight years of experience in Marketing and owning a business, Mai Nguyen is always passionate about becoming a Marketing expert in all fields, especially blockchain - a new market full of potential and challenges. In this project, she will plan the promotion, measure the performance, and estimate the budget to optimize campaign success.

As an above roadmap, whether we are funded or not, we will come back to apply for the next round as this is a long-term project that requires support from a strong community.

-We have an updated roadmap/progress on our website (https://healthfi.io); any updates will also be visible on the app.
-We also have updated the community's progress every Friday for two weeks. In addition, the number of trees that have been planted and the list of users who participate will be publicly and transparently displayed on our app.
[AUDITABILITY] What does success for this project look like?
We aim to have about 5000 runners participate, with 5,000 trees planted. With this proposal, we also expect that it will attract 10,000 installs with 2,000 monthly active users (MAU) after two months of launching the campaign.
With the whole project, we want to change users' exercise habits towards a healthy lifestyle and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by creating a habit of walking/jogging, with thousands of trees planted.
